Workshop Description:

This workshop focuses on the psychological sense of community we have with others in our lives. It is about the connections we have within the communities to which we belong. In this 3-hour interactive workshop, participants will learn how to create and sustain a sense of community together.

The main concepts are examined with respect to both individual and collective levels of analysis. Various approaches are used to address the material, including individual exercises, partner interactions, small group activities, discussions, and presentations by the facilitator. The workshop is focused, fun, and engaging, and it will be especially helpful to those who would like to learn more about the psychological sense of community and how to enhance it in settings where it matters (e.g., small group, workplace, neighbourhood, community organizations, etc.). The concepts are readily applicable to our lives and to the lives of those with whom we work. .
