Workshop Description:

R is a software environment for statistical computing and graphics (http://www.r-project.org/). It is quickly becoming the de facto software for analyzing data in psychology because it is flexible, powerful and free!

The goal the workshop will be to introduce R. Participants will be expected to have some expertise in statistics applied to psychological research (e.g., t-tests, correlations, ANOVA, regression), but no previous knowledge of R is required. The course format will be a mixture of instruction and exercises with hands on examples.

The course will focus on the use of actual data. Several data sets will be provided to illustrate the steps required for data analysis in R. It is recommended that you bring several of your own data sets to the workshop so that you can apply what you learn to your research
